Saving Your Smile With Natural-Looking Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are very durable caps that we place over your teeth, so they will give you nearly all the freedom and function of natural teeth. Ceramic dental crowns can be used to:
- Restore a severely cracked tooth or a tooth treated by a root canal
- Completely replace a tooth by anchoring to a dental-implant
Our all-ceramic crowns, including zirconia, e.max, and Lava, are especially popular for their aesthetic feature of being translucent, which means they closely match the appearance of your natural teeth. These crowns differ from traditional crowns in that they do not have a metal foundation. This makes them ideal for front teeth.
Completing Your Smile With A Dental Bridge
A dental bridge replaces a missing tooth or a few missing teeth using the strength of your remaining healthy teeth. Two dental crowns are connected to a comfortable, custom “bridge” that fills in the gap in your smile. These two crowns are placed over your healthy teeth on each side of the gap to support the bridge.
If you don’t have the healthy teeth necessary to support the bridge, we can use dental implants instead. Implant-supported dental bridges:
- Provide a high level of stability
- Reduce the chance for bone deterioration in your jawbone (a result of missing teeth)
Dr. Sadeghi also restores various types of dental implants, so whatever your need is for replacement teeth, she can place a dental crown or dental bridge to give you the chewing power your smile needs to stay healthy and beautiful!
